The Response-Ability Method

The response-ability method develops three core capacities:

  • The skill of reading the room in real time—who's succeeding, who's struggling, who's in charge.

  • The savvy to see how things work—beyond the org chart and formal structures to the unwritten rules no one names.

  • The know-how to position yourself based on what this moment needs—not your title or habits.

The work integrates three core practices:

  • Rooted in Keith Johnstone's theater improvisation work, these experiential modules develop your ability to read and work with influence in real time.

  • Based on the Tavistock Institute's Group Relations work, leaderless groups create focused 'lab conditions' where you experience complex system dynamics as they unfold.

  • After each practice session, you debrief what happened, identify how to use it, and (usually) practice again. This differs from purely experiential programs or theoretical presentations (which can be stimulating and/or insightful, but often difficult to apply once you’re back at work).

Response-ability becomes your strategic edge:

The capacity others recognize but can’t replicate.
