Helping you and your team compete –
and win.

Jessica Burlingame

I support individuals and organizations worldwide to compete – and win – in crowded, complex situations. Through coaching, organizational consultation, and training and development services, I integrate frameworks and techniques from my experiences as an actress and in Montessori education, as well as psychodynamic and arts-based approaches, with more traditional practices of executive coaching, leadership development, team building, and strategic planning.

This approach differs from many others – because my clients’ understanding, articulation, and work with how they are unique or “different” is fundamental to how they thrive as individuals, within teams, and as organizations.

Some clients begin our work together by asking ‘What does my boss, or my board, or my potential employer, or my customer, want?’ My practice is to start, instead, with what you have – and take it from there. This requires our ongoing attention to both what you do and how you do it.

I am inspired by the words of the late neurologist and author, Oliver Sacks, who described his diagnostic question as, ‘How are you? How do you be?’

“I could not have done it without Jessica’s support. She was always available, very fast in answering, always up to go the extra mile, and most importantly always showed confidence in me.”

Jessica Burlingame has held staff and consulting roles with The Condé Nast Publications, Citigroup, The Princeton Review, The Advisory Board Company, The MBA Exchange, and The Bridgespan Group (an affiliate of Bain & Company), among others. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree in the humanities from Columbia University. She completed additional undergraduate work at the University of Bologna, and pursued coach training via Newfield Network.

Agon Advisors provides corporate training and consulting on a new model. We bring the best talent from non-traditional disciplines into your organization — theater professionals, military leaders, renowned historians and mindfulness experts, to name a few. We then share and translate their wisdom into your unique context. Agon, in Classical Greek, was the word for “contest” — athletic competition in the pure pursuit of excellence. We will soft launch in late 2017 and are currently seeking queries from charter partner organizations. Let’s explore together how we can compete and excel.
